Down in spirit and sad of heart a hopeless path laid before me,
Struggling to focus on what lay ahead, but all was shrouded, all was dark,
My strength was failing and confusion encompassed me...
Happiness eluded me as the victim eludes its prey...
Hiding in unknown places, biding its time.

In solitude I lingered, longing to end this stagnant time,
Yet unable to break the chains that bound me to it.
Tired and weary, but still dreaming dreams
Thinking of things just out of reach,
Unaware that all was close by and in my grasp.

Then came you, unexpectedly in the night,
Unsought for, unbidden you stood before me
Bringing all I had dreamed, yet feared into my life.
Being the white knight you are,
You rescued me from my distress.

I saw the light dance in your eyes
As a smile played about your face,
The sound of your voice stirred me as none before;
My pulse quickened, my heart raced,
Fear rose within me because I longed for you.

Such feelings were never mine to posess,
And I knew I could no longer call my heart my own.
A storm raged within me, the lightning struck,
Then your arms enfolded me, calming the storm.
Fear died when your lips touched mine.

Wherever this roads leads, I know I must follow,
The walls have fallen before you, now enter in.
Know me as I know you, and seal forever the way.
For none before have come as you,
And none can follow after.

Our time has begun, swiftly and surely
As day follows night, then begins anew.
We are building on truth, no games do we play.
Together we travel the road...
Our destination is one.
